If they go this route, I'd say they should do a 2D.5 remake of Sonic 1,2,3, and Knuckles in the style of Sonic Generations Classic Sonic. Give people that nostalgia factor as a title for this year and next year release, like you said, Sonic Adventure 3 or the equivalent to it.
