With how close Titanfall 2 and COD Infinite Warfare are launching, I actually didn't think that Sony would go for exclusive marketing.

Besides, EA seems to be in bed with Microsoft this gen. IIrc the only EA game with PS4 exclusive marketing is SW Battlefront and apparently that had more to do with Sony and Disney's current love affair:

Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War and future Marvel films
Sony and Marvel collaboration on Spider-Man: Homecoming and future Spider-Man films
Disney's catalogue coming to PSVue (ABC, ESPN, Disney Channel, etc.)
PS4 exclusive marketing and content in Disney Infinity 3.0

 

But yeah. I guess you're right. It makes sense.

Could go either way but Respawn might want to extend an olive-branch to the PS fanbase after the first games exclusivity.... don't know for sure but there is a lot going on and as you say EA has been in bed with MS for the whole gen.
