Tenth session of The Abyss: Luke is finally home! Will he avoid the war, or will he cause it?.

------------------------------------------

The team finally reaches Baticul, the capital of light. The city is huge, being built on some sort of crater made by a fonic device. I explore the city and find a lot of good stores in here. And DAMN, the products thereare amazing, but incredibly expensive. One sword has 8 times pore attack than my rapier, but it¡s worth more than all I own. Maybe Luke asks his uncle for money to get equipment (after all, he is the king of Baticul). There's also a closed colisseum, but for now it will have to wait. We inmediately meet some people, which I assume are the thieves from Chesedonia. The team doesn't recognize them, they must have Team Rocket powers. They seemed to be scheeming something, but I'm sure it won't be that important. Guy gets attacked by a group of fangirls, that apparently enjoy the terrified reactions of Guy. That is so disrespectful.

Anyway, we reach the castle, and the guards say that the King and Mohs are debating important politics in the thone room. Luke, like the tactical genius he is, decides to interrupt the meeting and accuse Mohs of lying to start a war. Smooth. Also, odd that Jade or Tear didn't just stop him. Luckily neither Mohs nor the king find Luke that annoying (you have to understand, sir, he hears voices in his head. All the time), and he informs Luke that his mother is really sick. The team meets with Duke Fabre, who seems really interested in knowing where Van is. Fabre tells the team to relax and get confortable, but I have to explore the castle once again. I find some money on a drawer, Guy's fangirls are here too (they are some of the maidens of the palace), Tear likes the cute clothes of the maids (¿?¿?)...

We go meet Natalia, the king's daugter. She's really angry with Luke due to his sudden dissapearence. Apparently Luke confessed his love for her when he was a kid, and Natalia wants him to remember it so they can get married (but if the king is Luke's uncle, and Natalia is the king's daughter, doesn't that mean they are cousins? I suppose royal inbreeding applies here). She informs the team that the king thinks Master Van is the one behind the dissapearence of Luke, and he may be executed.

We go see Luke's mother, and she's really relieved that her son is ok. She talks a bit with Tear and forgives her for all that happened. The team goes to rest for the next day, and Luke even tells Tear she shouldn't worry about his mothe's health, because she is really frail as it is. Wow, actual decent human emotions coming out of Luke, I'm impressed.

The next day, a maid comes to wake up Luke. "Another beautiful day today, isn't it?" Wow, my sense of foreshadowing is tingling. The whole city is in danger. She brings a message from Natalia, asking him to come to the castle. Luke goes and finds Malth and Teartalking about Luke. Once on the throne room, the king informs Luke about the signment of thepeace treaty between Kimlaska and Malkuth. Malkuth needs help managing the sudden appearenceof toxic gass on its territory, the miasma is killing the mining city of Akzeuriuth. And also, Luke is an ambassador now! Because making the guy that entered in the middle of a diplomatic reunion, insulted some important dignataries and has not abandoned the safety of his castle in years is absolutely qualified to be an ambassador. They say that his actions may save the live of Van, so he accepts. What could possibly go wrong? Tear reads part of the prophecy scroll and all think part of that message is Luke.

Luke goes downstairs and sees Van. Van inmediately asks him to join the Order of the Oracle Knights. He then says he's the one who kidnapped Luke years ago! He's so obviously the bad guy, how come nobody seems to detect otherwise!!?? Will he accept the deal, or will he do the right thing and turn him in again? More of this and more, on the next Tales of the Abyss update.

You know it deserves the GOTY.
