Ive used guides in Zelda games occasionally but very rarely. The only major offence was when I used a guide to play Zelda 1 from start to finish because fuck that game 
Not using a guide however is often what leads me to stop playing a Zelda game, seriously can any of the NPC's in Wind Waker please tell me what Im supposed to be doing?? Sailing back and forth and going nowhere isnt enjoyable damn it -__-
