I fail to see whats to be impressed about this. Multuplatform games should remain so. If its by a third party, why should one userbase miss out just because one company is throwing money at the devs???

When MS did it with a couple of franchises last gen, PS3 owners were upset about it.

Now Sony seem to be doing this with every game virtually having an hour or sometimes even more exclusive to their console and this is commendable???

This to me is lazy and cheap.

It's just the natural flip flopping you see from fanbases from one gen to another. It's worse here because between MicroSony, the Sony userbase is much much larger. So of course you saw more backlash and posts against certain things last gen.

Last gen paying for online was a joke, I would never do it! Oh, ok. PS+ is required. Well uh um uh at least there are free games!
Last gen indie/downloadable titles were a joke, I would never buy one! Now they are vitally important.
Last gen securing 3rd party exclusive deals was dishonorable, deplorable, and a sign of weakness. Now it's fine because publishers are probably begging Sony for it.
Last gen paying other companies to make your games showed a lack of devotion to gaming and a weak stable of developers. Now hey who cares man, it's fine!
Having certain devs focus on one big franchise is a bad thing, unless they are Polyphony or SSM.
Last gen performance/visual differences were no big deal, who cares! Now if one game is 1080p and one is 900p LOL why u gonna buy that PSone looking 900p garbage, breh?

Among many others. Of course, you could argue the same the other way. Last gen some here gloated big about MP games looking and running worse on PS3, now they don't mind the shoe being on the other foot. Among others. But again it just looks worse because of the amount of fans on each side. This is normal hypocrisy that goes on when people enlist for console warz.

That said, I'm surprised this is even news? I mean, surely these deals for timed exclusive content (and timed exclusive content inside of downloadable content, LOL, Destiny) are multiyear. It's not like they're just going to stop.
