The question is does he really mean sold?
You talk about shipped/sold to customers?
If yes
a) I think he doesn't care since he gets the money from shipped.
b) I really do not think that there are more PS3 lying around in shops than 360. Besides over long timeframes shipped is as significant as sold. (This may be different for weekly sales of course but over a year its negligible)
