Could be. But I really couldn't imagine Link v Samus.  Both came from different settings and their 'power'.  One is futuristic Sci-Fi and the other one is somewhat like a mediaval or some sort of fantasy world.

just to add:  It is in my head, the announcer in Smash commercials.
