  •  you said it, they are making a PS4 Morphues game, how that is a bad thing i dont know, since it looks great.
  • Working on a full title Morphues game as well, called London Hiest.
  • Was just founded to create VR games. how does this help with your point that sony doesnt initiate new first party games and devs for their console?

Dreks tirade specifically states that gimmick games, even highly successful gimmick games are a poorly managed porfolio. Hence Morpheous games are examples of poor management of Sonys 1st party.

starting to look really foolish here. they are releasing tearaway unfolded for PS4 this september, and announced Dreams for PS4 coming out next year.

Yeah, as I stated. MM are a Vita/Move studio now. According to Drek, this is bad management.

you do realize they didnt develop LBP3 as well, right? of course you dont.

Sumo Digital did. Yes, Drek brings this up with Halo moving to 343. He says Halo 4 (88%, 14-19M+ sales depending on how you count MCC) was an example of mismanagement of Microsoft studios;

Started up 343 studios as a replacement for Bungie when Bungie wanted out as opposed to eternally making nothing but Halo. Now 343 makes nothing but Halo, only not as well as Bungie. The game they wouldn't let Bungie make, Destiny, is now the most pre-ordered game yet. Winning?

Destiny scored less than any Halo, and sold less then all the numbered ones.  If that's mismanagement, then SCE's mismanagement of LBP is much worse.

Series sold 73 million, nuff said.

Last game sold 3M. But I agree, most of the series success lies behind it, it's certainly not ahead.

looking extremely foolish now, considering their last game was a new IP and considered one of the best, if not the best, game of all time. in case you dont remember, its called The Last of Us.

Their last game was a port of an existing game. That's not a new IP. Their next game is also ports. That's not new IP. Their game after that, is a sequel. That's not new IP. If their next game after U4 is TLoU2, that's not new IP either. So that's at lot of not new IP, which according to Drek is bad management.

sasquatchmontana said:

Confirmed to be working on a new IP for PS4. lol...

And it's Vita as well according to their recruitment pages. Let me know ...when it's up for DOWNLOAD. BAWWAHAHAHA.

sasquatchmontana said:

Making a new PS4 game called killstrain... its already announced... lol...

Drek says anything that's not retail is bad management. Killstrain is therefore bad management.

sasquatchmontana said:
so an 80 meta score is a "real stinker now?" and how does the first point help your overall argument

According to Drek, if a sequel comes out with a lower metascore/sales. It's bad management.

sasquatchmontana said:
they were allowed to make a new IP and have two teams, it didnt work out, not all projects work out, how does sony limit their creativity if they allowed them to try make a new IP

According to Drek, if you're not working on new IP, it's bad management. Also...who cares. At the end of the day, SSM being allowed to work on a new IP means little if it never comes out. If that were the case, Black Tusk did Shangheist and Lionhead did Milo and Kate....but no, Drek ignored those because...?

You can't tout something that doesn't exist. Lots of developers work on games that never come out.

sasquatchmontana said:

By firing them and cancelling it? Drek says this is what happened with Black Tusk so it must be bad management at SCE.

DriveClub sold 2 million Units, reactions after all the free DLC and Extra content certainly doesnt say that it "stunk".

Yes, it "sold" 2 milion units. We can see how pleased Sony was with the "sales" and the delay with how they treated Evolution studios by sacking half the studio and making sure they never make a new game ever again.  Yes. It certainly stunk. Stunk to high heaven. The sad thing is, people thought it was because it wasn't open world. It really wasn't.DC is just a content-lite racing game.

And no, "replay" mode as DLC? That's a basic requirement for a racing game. They shouldn't get credit for patching an incomplete game.

sasquatchmontana said:

i see you are resorting to making stuff up now. 40% of its staff laid off? lol. you do realize they are making a new PS4 game, and its already in playable state,  confirmed by yoshida himself? lol.

Yes, around that amount, according to a former employee of Suckerpunch. It wasn't hired help either, the majority was the seasoned vets:

http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?p=126234857#post126234857

Around 30% to 40% of the staff were laid off.
Majority of these are full time exempt employees (salary positions).
Some have been at Sucker Punch over 10 years.
All areas effected including design, programming, art, marketing, production, and test.

Drek says layoffs and a talant exodus are bad management.

Here's what he said about 1/2 a dozen people leaving lionhead

A large number of staff has been laid off over the past two years, another large group up and left with Molyneaux, which if it was anything like his departure from Bullfrog to found Lionhead constituted his core staff he's had everywhere (i.e. the real talent in the studio)

So Sony providing a streaming service for their games on PS4, PS3, PS Vita, TV's and PSTV is a bad thing now?

And "other platforms" starting now.

Way to lose all your exclusives Sony. What a waste of time the PS3 was.

sasquatchmontana said:

Still fully playable on PS4 and not on xbox?

And Windows and then Xbox (just like crackle).

Don't hate the player. Hate the game. Bear in mind I don't necessarily have the same opinion on Drek as all of those things, but when you hold a mirror of Dreks post to SCE, they come off worse. It's awful.
