I posted this on that man's blog,
"It is best to use historical data to predict things like this. Based on your conclusion I don’t think you did. Take a look at the previous gen: xbox, PS2, gamecube, GBA, also add in PS1 and N64. You’ll notice that none of them showed heavily reversing trends and all died off gradually. For ten years, with the exception of the dreamcast, this sort of thing doesn’t happen in the video game industry. Why would it start now?"
