What was the whole point of Kinect 2?

I liked the features that came with Kinect 2.

• UI Navigation with Hand Gestures
• Voice Commands
• Identity Recognition
• Controller recognition

These features made the Xbox stand out over PS4. (None has still the games that make me buy one - X360 is still good enough)
