Nintendo Land gave me that fuzzy sort of "this is new" feeling for a little while. Nothing really since then, though. I guess Gone Home felt pretty fresh, just for how effectively it told its story and built up a mood. I had butterflies like crazy going into the last room, which is a pretty big accomplishment considering the game is literally nothing but walking around and reading stuff.
There's very little unexplored territory anymore. It's still out there; it's just harder to find.
