In this context both mean the same thing. First time I claimed it as a hypothesis, second time I claimed it as a conclusion. "Be" and "is" are both existential verbs. So there is no contradiction here. Both "he has got to be scared " and "he is scared" can be true. And one  implies the other, when considering the additional assumption of PewDiePie being a rational human being. Or do you want my language to be as rigourous as mathematical logic here?

He has nothing to be scared of. He has a gigantic fan base that would watch him play anything. Besides he pretty much only plays small indie games lately and indie devs dream about Pewdiepie playing their games. He has nothing to worry about, he's just speaking on behalf of let's players because he's the biggest one and because his voice is heard.

Indie developers literally put references to him in their games.

Pewds and other youtube creators do not need nintendo, they can be popular playing anything, and there is so much awesome content out there that you could probably play a million hours without even touching a nintendo. Pewds doesn't even play nintendo games iirc. He's more into pc. He's talking about nintendo because what they're doing is such a big mistake. He's absolutely right, and if publishers want to try and follow the nintendo route, they're gunna learn the hard way.

Sure, I conceded to indies. I find it hard to believe that these big-named multi-billion dollar publishers who advertise on television are very depedent on a youtuber or group of youtubers to advertise their games, so much so that they'll "learn the hard way." It is quite obvious that these let's players who make money are more dependent on the game releases than the publishers are on their "advertisements." Especially when you consider the negative advertisements that can arise too (people see things about the game they don't like and decide not to buy it.) Anyway, it's quite obvious you didn't read the entire quote tree, because all of your points were addressed in it and discussed.
