Their support on the Vita pretty much made it clear that the Vita is more of an exist strategy than anything else. People will remember the way they treated the Vita when their next handheld comes out and it will take a shit ton of effort to gain back market confidence imo so no, after the Vita, Sony is out of the handheld market and Nintendo will once again, have "monopoly."

And considering the support that the Vita has, we are all better for it imo since most likely, a lot of the third party games that would have been on Sony's next gen handheld will now be for Nintendo's next gen handheld. So you get quality third party games as well as quality first party games with tons of support
