P.S. # 5 is committed to preparing our students for the rigors of lifelong learning by challenging them intellectually, helping them to grow socially, encouraging them to lead healthy lives and becoming responsible members of society.
Our school’s commitment to excellence is evident in the technology infused instruction offered in our classrooms, our after school programs and the value and relevance of the many cultural trips, activities and assemblies that are provided: most notably our music, multicultural and patriotic assemblies, our many field trips, Field Day and our End of the Year Awards program just to name a few.
Fundamental to our success as a school is the dedication of our faculty and staff, the support offered by our parents and the guidance and foresight offered by our School leadership Council and our Central office.
I encourage all our new parents to work with us to ensure that all of our students receive the quality education that is the birthright of every child and to reach out to us whenever there is a question or concern.
