They were talking shipped, which is going to be higher this time of year leading into Christmas and retailers stock up.

And they said close, CLOSE.

If there making an announcement why did they not give us the actual numbers? Why not wait until 10 million sold?

Most likely they are nowhere close to 10 million shipped but were desperate to release good news.

And the PS4 surpassed 10 million sold over three months ago.

Or most likely they are.  

Or most likely they are not even close.

Or most likely now over 10 million as a couple of weeks have gone by since the announcement.
