PS4 did 466k, Nov was never a strong one for PS3.

Sent my shipment and NPD excel spreadsheets, you'll have fun trawling through the data!

Definitely some interesting data there. You were definitely right about Holiday sales moving from December to November in recent years, earlier in the 7th generation December NPD was higher than November by a considerable margin but in recent years November and December were roughly equal or November was higher than December. I'd guess that's largely do to bigger yearly releases around that time period such as CoD and AC, as well as increased popularity of Black Friday sales for Holiday shopping. Xbox One is pretty much guaranteed to top the 360's November 2006 NPD and the PS3's November 2007 NPD, and there's a decent chance that Xbox One's December NPD this year will be higher than PS3 as well and maybe even 360's December NPD, assuming that MS doesn't run out of stock for all of their XB1 bundles before December.

I also feel like this gen there is a need to bolt out of the gate, before you would have a chance to warm up to good sales but this time around huge sales are expected from the get go. That's another reason I think XB1 will be 2.5m~ in US this holiday.

If it does around the 700 - 800k Nov and then Dec pessimists predict, I'll be very disappointed and disillusioned by XB1's long term prospects.

MS have positioned themselves in a great position, now it's up to the market to do the rest.
