I haven't read all 8 pages, but I can already bet there are a lot of naysayers.
For me, it's actually competing for 3rd place of one of my top games of all time.
1) Ocarina of Time
2) Mario Kart (any of the home console ones, they're ALL fantastic to me!)
3) SM3DW vs Skyward Sword
It did so many more things right for the Zelda series, creating an actual plethora of characters that are more developed and a story that actually comes together moreso than any Zelda before it. It was a massive step in the right direction of cinematic flavor added to the Zelda formula. And its combat, though probably never to be seen again, was absolute bliss for me. The ACTUAL skill required in combat was of unquestionable praise, because people who waggle or just swing at things were easily frustrated, and rightfully so. If you took the time to actually master the combat, it was a Zelda experience unlike any other.
Good characters? Check. Good story? Check. Good combat? Check.
