PS3 and Wii both released abroad before they released in Japan last gen. Although the difference wasn't very great.
Anecdotal, but I just checked out a shop near me earlier today and they had ample supply of the PS4. (not the one with Knack) The only one that was sold out was the one that included the camera, which was a limited bundle.
