Is the reason people are jumping on the PS4 hype train because 360 and Wii disappointed so much last gen?

PS was always the biggest brand in gaming since it was introduced so people were always going to pick the PS4 over the rest. Even the PS3, whose release Sony really messed up, sold more than 80M and is still selling.
