Could this other FF game be FFXVI directed by Hiroyuki Ito?

Here's the full story: I wanted to watch Agni's Philosophy again, so went to the official website. I noticed the website had been recently updated. I use the term "recently" very loosely, as it was actually updated on November 1, 2013. However, this was the first time the website had been updated in over a year.

The update was the website now having an employment section that listed various vacant positions at SQEX Japan for Luminous Studio. Further still, there was now a webpage that had comments from current Luminous Studio staff members. This is where I found the info that hints that FFXV is not the only FF currently being made for next-gen. It appears that FFXVI is also already in development. This is great news, as it means next-gen won't revolve around FFXV and its sequels.

I've been here at Square Enix in Tokyo for four years now being one of the first members of the Luminous engine’s core development team. During this time I’ve worked on the architecture and implementation of our next-gen engine’s graphics core together with my Japanese colleagues. So far it has been a great experience and I don't regret coming here one bit. The Luminous engine is being designed with the next generation of hardware in mind and is written from scratch so you don't have to deal with a legacy codebase. As this is Square Enix's in-house engine, you have the chance to work on something that will be used in lots of future high profile AAA titles spanning various genres. Working here also has other perks, like early access to technology that others have only heard rumors of.

The above guy made it clear that Luminous Studio will be used in many AAA games. It won't experience minimal use like was the case with Crystal Tools, which was only used for the FFXIII trilogy.

Last year, I had the chance to work at the core of the Real-Time Tech-Demo "Agni's Philosophy" showcased at E3 2012. Now, I am involved in new game projects. These three years have no doubt been the best years ever !

Not only is the work challenging and interesting, but there is also something weirdly fulfilling in building virtual worlds. Whether you want to model the emotions of a character or you are trying to simulate the complex interaction of light in a strand of hair, everyday becomes a discovery, every result an act of creation; and when you have the chance to work with a talented team of modelers and animators, you can watch how code transmutes into art.

Notice that the above guy used plurals for "new game projects" and "building virtual worlds".

When I heard two years ago that Square Enix Tokyo was looking to build an international team of developers to help them design the next engine that will power their future games, I immediately jumped on that unique opportunity… Who wouldn't? Now, I get to wake up every day in one of the most fascinating, exciting, and entertaining cities in the world, I routinely work with a bunch of amazing people, and I can peek at what the next generation of Final Fantasy games will be about… Not to mention being immersed in a culture that has fascinated me for most of my childhood :)

Notice that the above guy used plurals when he said, "I can peek at what the next generation of Final Fantasy games will be about…"

If he's peeking at more than one next-gen FF game, there's no way FFXV is the only one SQEX are currently making with Luminous Studio. FFXVI is definitely already in development, likely with Hiroyuki Ito directing.
