As of august. Nintendo stated officially that they had sold 6.47m 3d systems. We have it at 5.9m units on the week ending august 30th 2013.

VG247 obviously made an error.  "Nintendo 3DS was the best-selling piece of hardware in the US with over 6.47 million units sold in 2013 – 30% increase year-over-year."  That would be an average of ~809k per month in the US.  It didn't even hit that in November.  You can find other articles citing the same number to software.

My apologies then. Serveral other articles also made the same mistake I guess. But I still can't get how seece and Pezus believe that, as of now, we have the 3DS overtracked by 700k in the US.
