PlayStation 4 Selling Around 240-250k Units Weekly, Insider Assures

By Ali Moin - December, 23rd 2013

PlayStation 4 is an eight-generation console from Sony. Being the successor of the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 set a record for selling one million units in 24 hours. Nearly sold out everywhere, PlayStation 4 has now become a difficult device to get a hold of if one doesn’t hurry. Jack Tretton, President and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) assured that aside from pre-orders, Sony has enough stock for the retailers that consumers can go to a store and pick up a PlayStation 4 without a pre-order. He also stated that Sony is working round the clock to meet the supply demands.

PlayStation 4 is showing no signs of stopping any time soon. Being officially launched in North America, Europe and Middle East among other continents and countries to soon follow the release, PlayStation 4 is selling fast. According to a famous and reliable industry insider, thuway, who has been spot on with many of his claims, has assured that PlayStation 4 is selling around 240k-250k units weekly. It is possible that he may have gotten hold or might have seen the weekly number from Sony as the information has not been disclosed yet. What’s more surprising is that these numbers are for US only.

Thuway is now waiting for a weekly Xbox One sales number to compare it to the success that PlayStation 4 is enjoying currently.
