Being present in historically big gaming country is more important... they make money on attach rate and monetization of services and apps after.... so yeah big gaming countries that spend a lot or more money on game is the sweet spot....
I think so far both strategy (Sony/MS) makes perfect sense in regard to their historic brand recognition globally... especially if you believe in yield issues and think Sony produced 1 million more... this makes even more sense then... |
I'm sure if MS have supply they will release in all 21 countries and no other will be delayed... even Japan could have a launch in early 2014.
They didn't have inventory to meet the launch in all these countries... there is no strategy or smart move from these delays.
