24. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword (NR)

For a while I wasn't sure I would end up getting to play this game but thankfully that changed.  I thoroughly enjoyed my travels into the world of one of the most contrived Rube Goldberg machines in video game history.  The details revealed in this origin story still leave room for events before the game but explain nicely the struggles seen in so many of the series' earlier games.  The directional swordplay was fun, if sometimes frustrating and created some interesting boss fights.  The combination of the story, dungeons, and the boss fights are the main quality in this title.  The items were average but used to good effect with the dual clawshots and gust bellows being the diamonds in the rough for puzzle solving.

Primarily an RPG player but have interest in any game that will make me think.
