I know that I speak a lot of doom and gloom in my own way, even as a Nintendo gamer, but they're proving time and time again that they literally lack the ability to learn from their mistakes in any timely and helpful manner.
I WANT a big heap of really awesome games that work to go above and beyond what I expect from a game and that utilize the hardware. Games that surprise me and make me feel like Nintendo is going the extra mile to bring me an awesome experience.
I EXPECT a small handful of games, because several announced ones will be pushed into 2015. A few nice announcements, but most of those will be promised for 2014 and pushed into the following year as well. Smash Bros. will not be released in 2014, nor will Zelda. The games we do get will be fun, but lacking in any real depth or scope and seemingly rushed with very little content, along with being watered down and literally stripped of certain features in an attempt to make them more accessible. Nintendo will continue to struggle between appeasing the real gamers and trying to win back the casuals, and will succeed at neither.
