Well, smroadkill15's post should end this little debate.

Yes, sugar is required for a human to survive but like someone else said, if you are eating a healthy diet fruits should be a persons MAIN source of sugar.

The reason why soda isn't considered healthy isn't just the amount of sugar (although it's a big one), its could also contain caffeine (which is a tasteless drug that increases a persons heart rate), and high fructose corn syrup (this is ANOTHER completely different type of sugar extracted from corn stalks). The HFCS is what causes most of the harmful effects (diabetes, heart disease, messed up livers, etc.) that the body goes through when you drink soda.

Now, drinking a 12oz. soda every once in a while isn't really bad but its still unhealthy. Drinking a 12oz. soda a day is getting worse. The ingredients in soda aren't good for you and adds absolutely no good benefits to any diet.

That's what me and most people in this thread is trying to tell you.
