Strictly Consoles:
Primary has been Nintendo for two generations and then Sony for three generations and looks to continue to be four with everything I have seen
Secondary has been non existent for one generation, Sega for one generation and Nintendo for three generations and seems likely to be four as well
Tertiary has been Microsoft for two generations and maybe again, but could become nonexistent after past year
