I think this thread sucks. It attacks the core of what makes gaming good.

Why would you want to make games smaller? If you think that many middle-tier games are more enjoyable than a few amazing games, then you're preaching the idea that Hollywood should no longer make Oscar winners or summer blockbusters and should just focus on low budget B movies.

Why would you criticize studios and publishers who spend their money and their time to create something that people will really enjoy? It seems that you feel like small developers should be more rewarded for their small efforts. Well, the world doesn't work that way. What you invest should be relatively equal to what you reap, and this is how it will always be.

Games like Candy Crush and Plants vs. Zombies don't seem to be having trouble with achieving a market share. So why are you complaining about GTA? They have completely different players and they do not attack each other. In fact, huge games give indies the impetus to develop for themselves, hoping that they can capture some of those dollars.

Overall, this OP is idiotic. Sorry, but you can't go around badmouthing games that are made by devs who spend years to make them great.
