I don't give a f*ck about resolution. But give mah 60 FPS!
As for sales, it obviously doesn't matter, most people can't tell the difference between 720p and 1080p, and they don't care if the game is 30 FPS or 60 FPS. Neither one of those is a selling point for the general consumer.
