*Snip*

I never really got into WoW, so I'm not sure how much FFXIV borrows from it. What I will say is that it's premature to make up your mind after playing through only level 16. It's an MMO - for better or worse, it takes a long time to come into all the content the game has (and maybe that's poor design).

I will also say that I've heard the exact opposite of your opinion; some people seem to think you have to rely too much on grouping up. *shrugs*

Oh, I agree it's a bit early, it's just at the moment they really haven't provided me with anything to make me want to continue to pay for the game.

1. The game has thrown walls of text at me so I just click through most of the quests.  I have no idea what's going on for the most part and don't care.

2.  Right now the game isn't that interesting.  I run doing generic quest to quest and filling out my hunting log.  I might start crafting again.

3.  The story quests can actually be fun, though those are few and far between.

The game may get insane later, I don't know because right now I can't actually login.

It seems the story really starts to pick up at level 44. Pretty much every quest after that is full blown story rather than fluff. The game does get better as it goes Twesterm. I was very doubtful myself for a long time.

God this song is AMAZING.
