The first real patent for Microsoft's project "Fortaleza" glasses has been issued. The patent, describing a method for inviting someone to join a multiplayer game using a head mounted display goes into detail about the technology being planned for the glasses as well as potentially the UI intended.
The glasses will feature eye tracking, an optical sensor, a position sensor, a microphone, speakers, and wireless.
The patent also suggest that the UI users would explore would be a 3D representational environment. Whether this was like the PlayStation Networks Home or simply an augmentation of the a real-world environment with 3D images of other users is yet unknown.
