not really, it's a game and a TV show that work together.... instead of releasing one on XB and the other on TV like that other game I can't remember the name of that is also on SyFy.... they've package both for XB1.... now you play the game and can watch the show at the same time exclusively on XB1 or just play the game and then watch the show.... the only difference with regular TV show/Game combo is that in that case you influence the episode with your ingame actions
so it is a fully fledged game with a fully-fledged interactive TV show.... hence why they couldn't have undertaken such an ambitious project without the financial support of a goliath like MS
