In order for the PS3 to pass the Wii in America, two things have to happen.
1 Blu-ray has to really take off and by at least 25%-30% of the DVD market.
2 PS3 has to be at least as cheap and likely cheaper all other blu-ray players instead of $50-$100 more than the low end models.
The 1st thing may happen but I highly doubt #2. Look at the PS2- it costs $129 but DVD players retail for as low as $30.
