The Ps3 had a large loss then the original XBox. The XBox 360 was profitable in it's 3rd year. With XBox Live subscription it was even more profitable. The PS3 was a complete failure in terms of making Sony money. Sure it sold a lot of units and is catching up the XBox 360 in sales finally, but it lossed a lot of money and a lot of market shares over the last 6 years. Even those M$ Kinect didn't have an abundance of killer titles, it still sold more then the MOVE and sold more software then the MOVE as well. The Kinect was released after the MOVE.
