People seem to be under the impression this is a consumer device. Not really. At this point, it's basically just a dev kit, hence the restrictions.

As a consumer product, Glass reminds of the Segway more than anything: Everybody can see that it's kinda cool, but nobody actually wants to use it, certainly not enough to pay the high price tag.
