I like at least 10 inches on a tab and 4-5 for a phone. My Galaxy Note has about a 5 inch screen and it still fits in my pocket so it works great as a phone and a mini tab. But 7 inches is too big for a pocket and not big enough to be a serious tablet.

I agree. A decent sized phone and a 10 inch tablet suits me fine.  7 inch tablets aren't attractive to me at all. 

I disagree. I rather have a small cell phone and a 7 inch that I can also use as a nice ebook reader while holding it in one hand.
