and who are we kidding? MS isn't as stupid to think people don't know there's a new xbox coming soon. They have teased it themselves in recent times. There is no big hurdle or negative impact of them making comments about their future plans/consoles. But like I said they might be thinking it will be a good idea to wait for the reveal to do this but I don't think it's a good idea. 

Why they need a general statement when 360 already don't need online to play games?if they do it,it must about 720,people in gaming fourm won't suddenly think "oh just a normal statement".

Actually,most people in real world don't know 720 is coming yet,only some gamer following gaming forums knows right now,they teased but don't mean they announced,plus their "tease" never give any even just a little details.

Again, you honestly think people are that stupid to think MS won't be making any future consoles? Wtf is this logic. They don't have to mention ANYTHING ABOUT THE 720. Just say they will continue to be consumer friendly and value all customers going forward. See, that kind of statement/comment will NOT make any mention of a specific console. Just that they will continue the same path they have as before. Not sure why this is so hard for you to understand

and I never said they have been doing it....I mean if they were all these negativity won't be around and all these rumors would be put to rest. My argument is that they SHOULD take some steps to tone things down a bit. Either this is true or as I said multiple times they think it's wiser to wait until the actual reveal, which I disagree with.

Im at uni, almost all male students have at least ONE console, you seriously think with the WiiU out and the mainstream reveal of the PS4 (trending on twitter, number of youtube hits etc) that everyone with an xbox console (80 million units) isnt wondering about the new xbox console?

we are in the an age of information. If any consumer wants to know about a new xbox its as simple as googling new xbox, and when the search results reveal blocked games and always online then its definately going to put consumers off.

They're wondering doesn' mean they know anything,like all these rumors.

And age of information,if you think they will search,why you think they won't notice it's rumor or MS never said anything?

Because its a rumor thats been continiously popping up for the last 6 months or so. And their wondering means they EXPECT a new microsoft console.
