I completely agree.

In general Sony fanboys are the biggest deterrent to having a Sony system. Why? Because they exagerate and lie at every chance they get to fool you into getting their favorite system or crap game. I could give examples about the Vita, for example where they would confirm games that would come out in the west that never will (like tales of innocence R) and more recently they try to convince you CG demos on the PS4 unveil were real time and that the generational leap is bigger than the previous one. Also an example is how overhyped and praised Dissidia 012 was on the PSP and while i bought it by 10 euros it turned out to be one of the crappiest fighters i have ever played.
I have seen them compared to a religion often, and that is what happens. Its complete faith disregarding logic, sense or past examples.

With that said, there are exceptions to this rule, even though they are few.

That's disappointing, I linked you to a 1080p direct feed video of Deep Down, which should make it obvious to any normal gamer that the image quality (while superb for a game) is just not good enough to be pre-rendered work. There are so many details going awry that it's very hard to believe it is not in-engine, real-time material (not ingame though, more likely just a tech demo with entirely scripted scenes), especially as Yoshinori Ono himself said on stage that it's "real-time footage running on the PS4". I can't blame you for not catching that though as that's what he said in japanese and the english translation script instead just said "we want to show you something".

At that point you left the discussion and now you turn around and are calling the people who believe that it wasn't CG liars and fanatics.
