Yep cos your 4 year old Iphone 3 still runs everything your iphone 5 does right? all the apps and that??.

Also siri or whatever its called, that voice program a company was workong on for iphone 4 before apple brought them and made it an exclusive feature of iphone 4S??.

Or how apple pretty much rip their customers off to the eyeballs with their prices??.

Yep Apple really loves their customers money is more like it. Shame Apple fanboys (Not calling anyone here a fanboy) cant see just how much they are being ripped off.

There can be no doubt that Microsoft has a much better track record of supporting legacy operating systems than Apple (that support is probably something that has significantly slowed Microsoft's ability to innovate).  Much of Apple's own software only supports the most recent or two most recent Mac OS X releases (this is only partly justified by the much higher adoption rate of OS X upgrades).  But, boy did you ever pick the wrong battle, because Apple sets the gold standard for the smartphone industry.

You can quibble about older phones with 1/4 the RAM and processing power not getting all the features of the latest phones, but that is infinitely better than the vast majority of phones, which don't receive updates AT ALL (in some cases, not even security updates).  By far the largest plurality of Android phones are stuck running Gingerbread, according to Google's own numbers.  Apple has consistently supported every iPhone for at least 2 years — the iPhone 3GS, which is getting on 4 years old is still supported by last week's 6.1.2 update.  Meanwhile, the poor sods who bought WP7 phones get shafted, despite Microsoft's commitment to do a better job than Google of enforcing updates from carriers.
