A lot of the CoD audience is casuals in the pre-Wii/DS sense of the word. Time was the people who just played Madden, Halo, and GTA and not much else were the casual gamers, and the people who played more obscure stuff like Shadow of the Colossus or Ikaruga were the core. The Madden-CoD casual is very much ingrained in the used games market. If you came to America and went to any GameStop, a lot of the used games you find are Madden and CoD, and how many people would have bought the game annually at full price, knowing that they were stuck with it?
Or, if there were a version of it that they could resell, they would gravitate towards it, possibly.
