No, its better than ever. I also have an awesome gaming pc with a GTX670, I play my games on the highest settings, yet I still find myself playing console games. One thing doesn't negate the other. And there is still so much to look forward to. Starting with Ninokuni on the PS3, which looks like another great rpg. How is the ps3 too expensive for you? During the holidays it reached the €/$199 pricepoint multiple times. How much did you pay for your Wii and 360 then?
Your reasoning that ps3 is still too expensive and paying $60 for a new game is too much suggest that you should probably look for another hobby. Actually nothing has changed this gen, ps3 reaches the pricepoint of its competitors, and games have always been 60 dollaz.
