Like I used to, back in a while when I was an active member in VGChartz, I took a peek in the release schedule for the Wii in Japan. So far, from what I could see, the console has 2, yes 2 (two, dos, deux, dois, II) games coming up in the next 3 months. Yes, you read that well, only 2 confimred games. WTF is going on there? And they are both late ports that have been out for the PS3 and 360 already, namely Hokuto no Ken Mosou and Need For Speed Most Wanted.

I will still give the benefit of the doubt to Nintendo and believe that this is not going to be the norm for the Wii U, because this is really looking like the Wii once again. It's inexcusable to have such long droughts. Perhaps they are relying on core Nintendo fans to get the console just for NSMBU and Nintendo Land, but how are they going to expand their audiences further or make a dent into the other userbases if their release schedule is so dire??

What is everyone's opinion here? Why is Nintendo so quiet about everything? Are they still trying to get support? Could that be the reason, that they don't have support yet and need to space out their own releases to make up for the lack of any game at all? When are the big third party devs going to announce anything over there?
