I've never, ever thought of third party franchises as being exclusive, only individual games, and then only because of circumstance. Final Fantasy leaving Nintendo, for example, was because of circumstances, which means it can go the other way in the future if the situation is different. I've never had the slightest feelings of "betrayal" over anything like that. Likewise, I've never thought of Final Fantasy XIII going multi-platform as anything bothersome, it's just a business decision that makes sense. It doesn't hurt me in the slightest, so it's a non-issue.

As for franchises leaving Sony and going to Microsoft, I can't think of many important exclusives that Sony doesn't own that aren't already multi-platform. I would have said Valkyria Chronicles, perhaps, but it doesn't look like Sega is going to do anything with that, regardless. Unless you mean taking a multi-platform franchise and making it exclusive to Microsoft? In that case, I think you could open this thread up to Microsoft fans, as that's a question that could go both ways. Personally, if that were to happen with either, I think the disappointment and anger would be justified. I hate seeing multi-platform franchises become exclusives for no other reason that money and I would definitely be lessing willing to support a developer or publisher that does that kind of thing.

Actually, I think a better question could be something that has a shot at happening; how will Microsoft fans feel if Epic takes Gears of War multi-platform?
