Traitors, defectors, and lynch mobs oh my. This generation Sony lost a number of exclusives. Games, franchises, content, and developers. Which more often then not had a lot of Sony fans blowing their stacks, and defiling the names of those who dared to cross Sony. On these forums we had everything from despair, to the all too common claims of retaliations. We had developers that were ordained with god like powers of creativity and goodness at the start of some days. Only to be referred to as vermin at the end of those days. Since they had done that which was unforgiveable. They decided that they were going to release their game on multiple platforms, or worse they were going to give that other platform preferrential treatment.

On the whole I felt these events were humorous enough. Not just the logic that told these people to build these supposed exclusives into overly hyped monuments to the greatness of one platform over another, but the logic that had them doing their level best to diminish them once they weren't exclusive anymore, or in the end might even become monuments to the greatness of another console. I suppose in the world where the mantra was once it gets here they will come, and that is the only logic to be had to justify a unwaivering loyalty. Any developer who didn't meet those expectations would be considered a traitor. Even if their fealty was purely the work of over heated imaginations.

Which brings me to the point of this thread. I know some of you felt betrayed by the likes of Rockstar, Square, Capcom, and even Insomniac. Have you made your piece with what they did to you, or have you come to terms with with the idea that you were the one behaving badly and not them. Hell are you still to this day holding a grudge towards certain developers for their obvious betrayals. I want to know if someone of you have evolved on this or not, and if so where has your evolution taken you.

Now with that said it occurs to me that this thread doesn't have enough heat to long endure, and I really want to get a good long thread going. So I am going to toss something a bit more spicy on the table for those who like spicy things. Lets pretend I am someone who can get things done, and I have the power to get Microsoft to Money Hat a  particular franchise away from Sony next generation. Which franchise would you suggest that I should suggest. Not for the reason it is a game you want, but because it will cause the maximum amount of emotional harm to Sony loyalists.

Can you think of a game that can leave the kind of emotional scars that losing Final Fantasy XIII's exclusivity caused this generation. As far as blind Sony loyalty is concerned, or if you want to pontificate which games do you think Microsoft will steal away from Sony this next go around. Anyway feel free to answer one question or the other, or both if it suits you.
