Nintendo may be able to reinvent its existing properties with a new interface, but Sony will continue to break ground with experiences such as Journey, The Unfinished Swan, and Heavy Rain. And, yes, it will almost certainly achieve that with a faster processor and a standard DualShock controller.

Journey left there contract with Sony and probably undersold mine craft on Xbox.
Heavy rain flopped and made the company loses money.
Unfinished swan was probably only enjoyed by Sony fans and didn't draw anyone to buy one.
Lbp is a flop now.
