Valve has the resources to make a move. With estimated equity at around 2.5 billion dollars, and consistently improving revenues through Steam, as well as multiple blockbuster franchises. I would love to see Valve enter the console market.

I wouldnt mind that scenario at all, would love to have a Valve system over Microsoft.

 

Nintendo and Sony are too divided on Japanese games so I'll need to get both but Valve would focus on some Japanese games plus majority of western games and PC games.

I would rather see this scenario as well but that certainly isn't going to happen with Microsoft embracing their xbox brand to even new lenghts now (Xbox replacing Zune).  Sony, Nintendo, Valve as console developers and Microsoft as an excluvie PC developer would be my favorite scenario.
