idk why anyone thought it wasnt

i believe its final RAM should be between 1-1.5GB where as the PS360 are bot at half a gig, i also believe the next PSbox will be at around 2GB unless the next PSbox release much further in the future than what most are assuming now

idk bout all this resolution and FPS but i think we will see games on wiiu run at 30fps @ 1080p and 60fps @ 720p with no issues, it will definitely have the best graphics console wise but idk know if many hardcore gamers will flock to it for the 1st year or two b/c its graphics are superior than PS360 for the games being released on those 3 platforms.

The orientation is more defensive than offensive, similar to the 3DS. The goal of the 3DS wasn't necessarily to get PSP owners to buy it, but to prevent people from feeling the need to buy a Vita if they bought a 3DS. The hole in the strategy is if you do that, but also neglect the audience that made the DS such a success, you're not going to get anywhere.

With the Wii U, i think it is clear that Nintendo is trying to sell primarily to mixed households (families or young couples or what have you), where perhaps only one individual would be interested in a PS3/360 but the others like Wii-type games. The goal is to get the Wii U in the door on Wii-type games, and then to prevent the household from buying PS4/X3 because why bother if Wii U has all the multiplats?

Of course, it all hinges on Nintendo's willingness to make Wii-type software. In the short term, it looks like they learned their lesson with 3DS, but we shall see.
