I think some gamers are whiny babies. ( I hope this isn't a banable thing, I am expressing my opinion on no particular user, just the mass of haters on a great game).

-Homosexual choice (if your straight, you probably wont see that choice carried out anyway)
- Tali's face (irritated she didnt look more "alien" but its a extremely small thing to concern oneself with)
- Day one DLC (So what. Not ideal but no biggie. Mom and dad buy it for you if ur a kid or if you have a job you buy it yourself).
- The ending not what you wanted (personally I found it wrapped up everything nicely, the fact that it wasnt the holywood ending of earth is saved and everybody throws a party was good: it was something i didnt expect)

Cry me a river. To rip on a dev for making such a great game on little nitpicky things is shameful. Im not accusing anyone here, but those people to have this outcry need to find something in real life really worth raging over.

Certainly these aren't enough reasons to not buy a 90+ metacritic WRPG as the sales show.

Ew. Lots of things I don't like about this post. I'll bite.

Buying games because they have a high metacritic rating? Please..

I don't see anyone that isn't a moron complaining about sexual choice. It doesn't add anything to the game for me, it doens't detract anything, whatever.

The issue with Tali's face, is that after FIVE YEARS of teasing fans and building up a major character (one that thousands of people have become worriyingly attached to (there is a hilarious post on the BW forums about the chemical composition of Tali's sweat)) they decide to unveil probably one of the games' biggest mysteries with...a 5 minute photoshop of a stock image. It's laziness, its not caring for their fans, its simply insulting to the thousands that have talked about her 'unveiling' endlessly on forums and with friends. Fan pictures of Tali on deviantart are far more impressive for christ's sake. They legitimaetly spent more time modelling cameltoes on female models than they did on the unveiling of one of the series' main characters.

Your apathy towards DLC is damaging. I've written lengthy amounts about this on other websites, but as you are obviously not interested in the state of the industry, let me tell you how it affects you. Expect moving forward to pay more and more money for less and less content, if you sit down and take it  from these companies. It's that simple.

Sane people aren't complaining that the ending wasn't happy. (I like depressing endings in fact, as you said a nice change from Hollywood endings). The problem is >IT MAKES NO GOD DAMNED SENSE<. As I've said elsewhere: Any choices you made before are irrelevant (except for an arbitrary rating that you can increase doing shitty mmo style fetch quests and multiplayer), none of th endings make logical sense, the endings only come about by a massive deus ex machina, and yet somehow the difference between the alternate endings is also laughably small.

It's ok, you can accuse me, I don't mind.

Seems we agree on whoever gay bashes is a moron.

I personally was irritated that Tali didnt look more alien but thats it. Tali is only a supporting cast character, all this outrage seems like its overdoing it.

I quite the contrary do understand the state of the industry. This happens more and more because time and time again gamers as a whole keep paying for it. This is an industry with a focus on profit may I remind you. We vocal minorities have no voice compared to the masses of gamers who have zero problem paying money for this stuff, thus encouraging more devs to follow suit. But also, and I cant stress this enough, as industries get bigger and more prominent/mainstream, and this gen is the biggest of them all, the industry finds more commodities and ways to get more cash flow. Tis the way of any industry. You just gotta deal.

Furthermore, you think signing petitions, forum raging, and not buying the game out of protest is gonna do anything meaningful when again the majority opt for the DLC? You have to find a way to become the majority voice, otherwise your missing out on the larger picture that is the game as a whole. Start doing terrorist tactics like killing CEOs of 3rd party developers and hijacking/burning shipments of the games b4 they hit retail (Obviosuly not serious). Point is, anything short of extreme measures and your voice will NOT overpower where the industry is evolving, for better or for worse.

The ending thingy we can argue all day long, it really is open to interpretation. But it was definitive and it ended the conflict with no real cliffhanger, which is what a ending should do.

In the end, these are all nitpicky things that completely undermine the years of time, money, and manpower put into this game. People not buying all that hard work just because they took a shortcut with Talis face or some early DLC is disgusting.

No no no no. No no no noooo.

You think that because something seems insurmountable you shouldn't pursue it? I mean, have you looked at..history? At all? Sure the issue od day one dlc isn't on the same level as the civil rights movement, but you CAN change things with a collective effort. The people like you are the reason why companies get away with this shit. One by one everyone falls into your mentality that it's impossible to stop so we have accept it. No. History has shown us that is not the case.

Hell, let's drop the history talk. Look at Dragon Age sales for proof that bad mouthing a company that releases a shitty product can affect sales. Dragon Age Origins - 4.07m. What about the sales of DA2 you ask? 1.86 Million. The sequel to a multiple game of the year winner thta recieved an even bigger marketing push and cross-game promotions. Why would it sell so much worse? People power. Even though the biggest games outlets gave it 9/10 out their asses, the bad word of mouth and negative press ensured that after the initial pre0order and launch spike, it dropped immediately. If enough people make their voices heard, you can change things far bigger than yourself. Vote me for president yeh ok.

Its allready happening. Its people like you that still cling to the old ways. Would I prefer free DLC? Sure. But thats just not possible when gaming is as big as it is now. Gaming DLC pricing will never remotely match any REAL thing worth fighting for in our history, which is where this principle of your regarding gaming is flawed.

Dragon age origins is a 86 metacritic for 360. Its a 79 for Part 2. There was a noticable drop in ACTUAL QUALITY. ME3 is still in the 90's. Talis face and day one DLC arent things that factor into a games review score....AKA quality. ME3 is also selling much faster then part 2, another stark contrast to your Dragon Age example. That example is broken.

ME3 is just whiny nitpicky hate, nothing more.
