If you want to skip combat and just have dialogue... why don't you watch a movie?
The reason why you can skip dialogue is so that you can get back to the gameplay.
The internet is a fickle and often cruel beast, the reaction towards her is hardly suprising. Those comments are stupid and immature, but what do you expect from the intrawebs?
