You've managed to convince yourself that piracy produces more revenue for the companies producing the content being pirated in addition to believing that the more heavily people pirate, the more legit products they pay for. In other words, the world's biggest pirates contribute more to the gaming industry than those who simply pay for whatever they want to play.

Congratulations.

People say "Screenshots or it didn't happen", or "Where's your data?".

Now we are presented with various studies and still your head is in the sand? I could just imagine how you would have been during the time Galileo proposed heliocentrism.

Piracy is an anomaly in the whole process of selling a commodity. It is a circumvention developed by the comsumer to get away with a copy of the product for free. However not all "pirates" are the same. Some are simply cheap/poor/has no legal access and never intend to buy in the first place, while some use piracy as a means of trying the product. Anyway, I'm not going to elaborate, as I am sure this topic has been discussed innumerable times in this forum and all over the internet. We have studies presented here, and what matters next is the validity of these studies.

I'd say look it up yourself, but we already know where your quasi-religious beliefs in regards to software piracy lie, so

A) you wouldn't

B) even if you did, you would only look at the opinions and studies that support your own beliefs

Real simple.
